STUDIOS in Berlin 2021

Against the darkened backdrop of the permanent buzz of crisis discourses, anxious pride in the upheavals of the Anthropocene & at the end of the first year of the pandemic, it is obviously a bit difficult to share the pop-technological optimism of the Western 70s.

But what pleasure & hubris is there in the fear of the disappearance of our own species? & what is so valuable about what we have achieved so far that we should definitely continue that project of «humanity»?

We set up our recording studio in very different places in Berlin:
From Europe’s largest animal shelter to the university’s satellite lab to the empty church at the Hochbahn to the private community: In a mix of conversations, concerts & performances, each ASSEMBLY decides what content they find relevant for the self-expression of humanity & where this message should be sent.

We alchemically transmute NASA’s pseudo-global gold standard into our GOLDEN REMASTER: A morphing seed bank, a mash-up of very individual fantasies & value attributions.
